I am trying to figure out how to make spellcast change the current XML when I change my main job.

For instance, I have mychar_sam.xml, mychar_nin.xml, and so on.

So far I am unable to get spellcast to change to the xml of the current job I have.

Do I simply need to put all the jobs in the same xml but under different groups and rules? Anyone have an example of how they've done it?

Thank you.

I have mine the exact same way... sanriku_drg.xml, sanriku_thf.xml, etc. Are they all in the correct spellcast folder?

They are in the same folder. I wonder if maybe I have errors or something. I'll redo the XML and see if it works. Thank you, Sanriku.

When you change jobs, does anything pop up in the console? (red letters in the upper left)

Just to clarify, the folder would be ..\Windower4\plugins\spellcast

if you name it mychar_sam.xml it will not work

for me it would be sdahlka_SAM.xml

so it should be [Playername]_SAM.xml
replace [Playername] with your name in ffxi
this is only necessary if you dual box and want each character to use different spellcast info

if you only have 1 account that you play you can just use SAM.xml

also all your xml files must be put into your windower/spellcast folder

I had assumed that the "mychar" part was psuedo for his character name... but I could be wrong. I doubt it, but could be. ^.~

Cool it works! I have no idea what worked but I remade the XML and named it mychar_SAM and mychar_NIN and they work for some reason. I don't think I really changed that much. Thanks guys!

i wonder if it because before you used small letters i.e. smn instead of SMN

i did not think that it could be a problem because the one who wrote the spellcast problem did a lot of things to correct any capitol letter small letter differences
