COR.xml Help Corsair Spellcast Help

I am having trouble with the current script it loads fine but it does not do all the gear swaps and such. I will echo lucky and unlucky numbers for rolls but other than that it does nothing else.

i see 2 things

1 you have no variables listed and each of these you need to have a variable set up for in each xml
code]advanced='"$??????"[/code]
specifically when using $ not if using %

i.e,
for this
advanced='"$MacroBook"
you also need a variable like this
<var Name="MacroBook"></var>

2. all your rules are oin you sets section on in the rules section

I tried modifying as your suggestion and it doesn't work at all I am not too worried about the macro book change though I thought how it was set up was sound otherwise I get an error. So here is my code I try testing it out to see if it will auto equip upon resting and unresting but it is not working here is my script so far. Any help is most appreciated.

Ok... For starters, if you do not have or are not using Notepad++, get it/use it! If you haven't read the main guide start to finish, do it! Also, if you are going to copy/paste pieces from another xml, please have a basic xml you start with and paste into the appropriate sections. That was a mess!! lol

This should be a bit better, and actually work for the most part. Please try it out, as I am no cor nor do I have 94% of this gear.

To mention a few specific things:

1. Variables are very useful, but you need to know what you are doing with them. In this instance, you had none, but had several listed in the rules. You will need to change a few things in this xml, I just cleaned it up and checked it all.
2. Check all closing tags, i.e. </set> </sets> </main> etc... Notepad++ will help greatly with highlighting what set you are working in, or what section of code you are in.
3. Start smaller and build up. That was a huge xml!! This way, if you have an issue while building, you have less to look over or have someone else look over while asking for help.

thx Sanriku i did not have the time to do what you did for K-Man

K-Man this is the basic layout of a spellcast xml

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<spellcast xmlns:xi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XInclude">
  <config Debug="false"
  />
  <sets>
	<group name="???">
   	<set name="????">
   	</set>
	</group>
  </sets>
  <variables>
  </variables>
  <rules>
   <if>
   </if>
  </rules>
</spellcast>

but to understand it better as Sanriku said you realy need to read all the info on how to create a spellcast xml
if someone helps you be kind and post back to let them know if it worked

I want to add to Sanriku's post a fourth step.

4. Before trying to use your .xml in game, load it in either firefox or chrome (possibly safari, don't use it). If there is an errory, it will tell you on exactly which line it is on.

Uh, K-Man... did you forget about this site or did you use the xml and never post back? I'm curious to know if any of these changes worked, if they all worked, if you understand the mistakes... anything?

I do apologize for the late response but I haven't actually field test the script but it does change gear when resting so thank you and I will let you know if anything is wrong but so far looking good. I downloading notepad++ and working on a run script and thanks for your input on the format.
